Burren Energy
Burren Energy is an independent oil & gas exploration and production (“E&P”) group which currently produces over 33,000 bopd of oil. Burren’s oil & gas assets consist of exploration acreage in Turkmenistan and Congo (Brazzaville), Egypt, Yemen and Oman and producing fields in Turkmenistan and Congo (Brazaville) (Oman is subject to parliamentary ratification). With the exception of Congo (Brazzaville) and Oman these assets are operated by Burren.
In addition Burren has a significant minority holding in Hindustan Oil Exploration Company, a listed Indian E&P company, and a small oil shipping business operating in and around the Caspian sea.
Burren’s strategy is to build a focused portfolio of production, development and exploration assets in these and other frontier regions of the world.
Burren’s shares are quoted on the London Stock Exchange (symbol : BUR) where it is a member of the FTSE 250 Index. Burren is headquartered in London.
