Who We Are and What We Do....

It is not the Gold Rush, but rather an Oil Rush in Africa to satisfy the growing demand for oil in the world. With the sky rocketing oil prices and mid-east uncertainty, the West, China, India and Japan are turning to Africa as alternative sources of oil outside the politically volatile Middle East.

We, at the African Oil Journal, provide an up to date  coverage on oil and gas productions and explorations with professional and informative   reports, graphs and statistics for our readers. We show recent oil field maps of onshore and offshore activities by major oil companies.  The journal intends to focus on geopolitical developments on energy matters and on activities associated to exploration and production as well as the downstream sector of the industry.

The U.S. alone gets 16% of its oil imports from Sub-Saharan Africa, almost as much as from Saudi Arabia. That figure would reach 25% by 2015, surpassing the entire Persian Gulf. This indicates how important this industry is for us, Africans and our customers.  And now the Chinese are exploring Africa to get their share of benefit out of this rich region.

The AOJ is dedicated to provide an online industry/trade journal for people in the industry and decision making government agencies and others by being an intermediary for information and press releases. It also helps companies to introduce their energy related services and products to the market. Beside our website, we invite companies to our international oil and gas forums which are focused particularly on activities in Africa. We usually want our forums to cover on issues like networking during  exploration/production stage, introducing new innovations in petroleum engineering, market awareness, land deal-making, and safety/security and so on. For more of these services, please contact the customer department at editordesk@africanoiljournal.com

We thank you for choosing us as a source of reliable energy information.
