Apache Plugs and Abandons ERB-B-1X Well in Egypt

11-24-2007

Regal Petroleum PLC said Apache East Ras Budran Corp LDC, the operator of East Ras Budran Concession in Egypt, has plugged and abandoned the ERB-B-1X well after unsuccessfully spudding it.

The oil and gas exploration company, which holds 25 pct working interest in ERB Concession, said the ERB-B-1X well is the second of two committed wells in the initial exploration period of the ERB Concession.

An additional exploration well, ERB-B-2X, is now under consideration to be drilled in late 2007 if a suitable drilling rig can be mobilised to the area.
