First vice president, president of southern Sudan government Salva Kiir Miyardit issued a resolution ordered freezing of activities of White Nile and Ascom companies in the South.
The two British companies contracted with southern Sudan government for oil exploration in Jongoli state.
The resolution also ordered establishment of investigation committee to probe the contract signed with White Nile, besides checking the technical ability of the company in oil exploration.
