Elixir Petroleum announces that the acquisition of the 1,222 square kilometers of 3D seismic survey over Block SL-4 continues without incident. The 3D survey is designed to better define and mature the large number of significant leads and play types identified from 2D seismic data acquired over Block SL-4 in 2003.

Approximately 60% of the seismic data has been acquired, and the survey is due to be completed on schedule in June 2008.

Block SL-4 is located offshore Sierra Leone in West Africa. Water depths in the 4,429-square-kilometer block range from 100 meters to more than 3,500 meters. Elixir serves as operator of the block and holds 35% interest in the project.
