Tullow Oil Encountered Oil & Gas at Banda Well in Mauritania

Tullow Oil Plc. said Banda NW ST-1 sidetrack well, has reached a total depth of 2,934 mBRT and wireline logs, including sampling and pressure measurement tools, are being run.

Preliminary logging results indicate that the well has encountered oil and gas columns with contacts similar to those seen in the discovery well, about 2 kilometres to the east.

ROC Oil is a participant in the Banda NW exploration well, in which Tullow Oil is also a partner.
