Circle Oil Begins Drilling on Zita-1 Sidetrack Well in Tunisia

Circle Oil Plc. said it has started drilling operations on Zita-1 sidetrack well in the Ras Mamour Concession, Tunisia.

The oil and gas exploration company said drilling commenced later than scheduled due to site preparations and continuing pressure on the availability of directional drilling and gyro equipment.

A sidetrack is being drilled after the company reported in January that testing at the well did not result in a flow of commercial mobile oil due to the high water saturations.

The company has a 23 percent working interest in the Ras Mamour Concession.
